On December 21st , 2022, the third co-creation event of MORE Project "Multifunctional role of women as a key driver for rural development” has been organized in Pipirig, Neamț County, Romania, bringing together 10 VET trainers and representatives of the local stakeholders.
The objectives of the event were to gather feedback on the training materials and resources, identify the concrete needs within the community which can be met by MORE training, explore opportunities for involvement of and support from local stakeholders and authorities to deliver MORE trainings to the most relevant target groups and define the best formats of delivering MORE trainings to meet the community needs.
Balance between theoretical concepts and practical examples, the choice of topics, attractiveness, and ease of use of the platform, the selection of external resources and assessments at the end of each module were most appreciated by the participants. Another strength of the MORE training is represented by its flexibility and appropriateness for various training formats and durations.
The importance of involving local stakeholders (public authorities, VET schools, local libraries) has been highlighted. The local actors have shown their availability to support the delivery of MORE training by providing access to training premises, involving trainers, and promoting the opportunity among the community members and target groups.
The MORE project "Multifunctional role of women as a key driver for rural development" aims to improve the access to, and the quality of, training opportunities and qualifications of rural EU women. The realities of women's lives in rural areas have become more diverse in recent decades. In today's society, women assume a "multifunctional role" in the multi-faced context of their families (i.e., child and elderly care) and social and labour ties. This multiplicity of roles contributes significantly to improvement of their families' quality of life, as well as rural socio-economic development, civic engagement, and ways of rethinking the territorial contexts
