Women's Cooperative of Nea Gonia
The visitor to the central square of the village will encounter a neoclassical house where a group of women, "the Goniatisses", turned it into their workshop. With special respect for tradition, they utilized their knowledge and love for homemade flavors. Their passion for creation became the driving force for the production of tasty products with pure and quality ingredients. Their dedication to preserving tradition has led them to make their space accessible to schools where the new generation can watch the fermentation of the bread and actively participate in its preparation (for each student to make their own bread) and of course to taste it after it is first baked in the workshop's traditional wood oven.
